THE BASICS: write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving. Personally, I get more out of giving than receiving sometimes. It's just a good feeling to give.

STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!


STEP TWO

** Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

LET'S DO THIS

1. I know it sounds all sappy and shit ); but if i could only have one thing this year it'd be this - I want my family back. I want my sister Megan (currently living in Florida) to move back to California, and not only Megan, I want my cousin Matt (currently living in Maine or some central state) to move back too D: I know that that's extremely unlikely cause of prices (see Wish #2) here in California, So I'd like them to at least make it home for the holidays - also extremely unlikely D:


2. AMERICA! I honestly believe in what the country stands -or stood- for. I believe that America is supposed to be a great society, sadly it has fallen short. Partly the economy and partly the leaders who have run us into the ground. America used to be the beacon hope the lit the hearts of the rest of the world. My second wish is for America to be was it stands for.


3. My third wish is to get the fuck out of high school as fast as i can. Constantly being tested and watched and monitored isn't exactly my kind of environment. Now it's not like I'm some druggie that doesn't want to learn - don't get me wrong, I absolutely love learning, but i live learning thing i want to learn about, and i don't enjoy being tested on it, it take the joy out of learning.

4. I want a supernatural power. Honestly. I've dreamed of somehow being different or special since i was i kid. It's not like I'm some twilight fanatic that's all like "I wish i was a vampire so i could marry Edward! *freaks out*" Any kind of power or ability would do, flying, invisibility,magic, mystical creatures, ANYTHING. I just think that life how it is now is pretty boring, i want some spice baby ;]


5. Artistic ability. Now being able to draw like some people on here would be simply amazing, but it could be the ability to play an instrument, or sing, or something that allows you to express yourself.


6. Snow. Snow is so dazzlingly beautiful, and I oh-so rarely get to see it. The last time i touched it would probably be four or five years ago. I wish California would defy the laws of physics so i can have my very first White Christmas.


7. I want my own Adult-Sized Play Place

8. I want a snake, a little baby one, cause they're adorable <3


9. ERRRRRRRR I guess this is where i put all the material stuff i want. Money is it pretty much.


10. Now all ya'lls gotta do this too D<
